70th Anniversary Celebration!

Ramah alumni and friends gathered on February 11 at Morgan Manufacturing in Chicago for a magical celebration of Ramah. It was truly an awesome sight to see 450 people - spanning all seven decades of camp history - singing the camp song, linked arm in arm. The words of “Himnon Ramah,” לבבנו מלא רחשי הודיה - our hearts are filled with gratitude – echoed throughout the room and across the generations.

Many people shared wonderful camp memories and described the lasting impact of Ramah. As high school senior Nadia Goldberg said, "I honestly could not imagine my life without Camp Ramah. There are so many ways in which camp shaped me and my love of Judaism." It is particularly meaningful that the proceeds of the celebration will support camp scholarships and help make the Ramah experience available to more families.

Ramahniks Sam Porter (Nivonim 2007) and Nick Bruscato (Nivonim 2008 – shown in photo) are currently using their Ramah skills as they serve in the Peace Corps. Sam is a community-based natural resource management volunteer in Malawi and Nick is a coastal resource management volunteer in the Philippines.

Now Hiring: Camp Nurses and Airport COordinator

Camp Ramah in Wisconsin is hiring hard-working, confident Registered Nurses (including Nurse Practitioners and nursing students) who love working with children and are team players, to join our camp family for anywhere from one to eight weeks.  Our Camp Nurses work in our modern Health Center facility, which is located in the center of camp and staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with at least two physicians, two to three nurses and several nursing students. Our facility offers private accommodations for our nursing staff. The role of a camp nurse at Camp Ramah includes daily sick call, first aid, medication distribution and some good, old-fashioned TLC.  Compensation includes salary, room and board, laundry, travel allowance, WI license reimbursement and time off to enjoy all the facilities that Camp Ramah has to offer including sports, swimming, boating, visual and performing arts, beautiful trails and hiking.

Camp Ramah in Wisconsin is looking for a Summer Airport Coordinator, based in Chicago, to help with camper and staff flights throughout the summer.  This job involves greeting campers and staff at Midway Airport at the beginning of camp sessions and escorting them to flights at the end of sessions.  The position is perfect for someone with a flexible schedule.

If you or someone you know is interested in either of these positions, contact Benji Bearman at or 312-690-8326.
